On our recent visit to the community of Laila, donors joined community members in a ground breaking ceremony for the very first Unstoppable Community Leadership Center. More than a building, the Unstoppable Community Leadership Centers will serve to further the interest of community members by creating opportunities to start businesses and get jobs that will bring economic stability and growth to their community. The Centers will also provide after-school programming for kids and advanced training for teachers, in addition to the adult education necessary to help people develop the skills to achieve their goals.

This would not have been possible without the vision and commitment of the Foundation’s Chairman of the Board David Meltzer, his family, and everyone who has donated and fundraised for his 5o For 5o campaign.

“My dream was to empower others to empower others,” David said to community members. “When I look at each face, I see another thousand faces that you will help. This community center will be the first among many to help empower others to empower others.”
